Avnet and NXP are hosting the NXP MCX Microcontroller Workshop, designed to support the launch of the MCX Cortex-M33 based family of microcontrollers.

The MCX family are easy-to-use microcontrollers that address a wide range of applications with scalable device options, accelerators, low power and intelligent peripherals.

The workshop will include:

  • Introduction to MCX A Microcontrollers
  • Introduction to NXP's Flexible and Rapid Development Tools
  • MCX-A Hands-on Labs
  • MCX-A Low Power Deep-dive Demo

Hardware Requirements
  • Host PC with administrative rights with at least one USB port available
  • Internet connection available during the hands-on to access lab files and device update in MCUXpresso Config Tools
  • FRDM-MCXA153 development board (provided by Avnet/NXP)
  • MikroE Hall Switch 3 Click (provided by Avnet/NXP)
  • MCU-Link Pro Debug Probe (provided by Avnet/NXP)
Software Requirements
  • MCUXPresso IDE version v11.8.1 or above, downloadable here (download needs nxp.com valid account) make sure to install all drivers prompted during install process.
  • MCUXPresso SDK for FRDM-MCXA153 board downloadable here: version 2.14.2 for MCUXPresso V11.8.1, version 2.16.0 for MCUXPresso v11.10.0
  • Terminal program, like PuTTY or Tera Term
  • NMH1000 Sensor driver with examples downloadable here, in the downloads section
  • FreeMASTER Run-Time Debugging Tool
