Electrification, the process of replacing technologies that use fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) with technologies that use electricity as a source of energy, has become highly relevant in our daily lives, because it helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; improves energy efficiency and helps to improve public health.
At the one hand we see international and national governmental sustainability ambitions driving electrification initiatives, for example with subsidies, at the other hand we see developments driving electrification, like the decreasing battery costs or the increase in fossil fuel costs.
Webinar Details:
Electrification requires Energy Storage Systems (ESS), and we will discuss the 3 different types along the energy supply chain: commercial systems; residential systems and EV charging. And since batteries are a key component of ESS, we will outline the importance of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and its relevance within Electrification.
Next, we will explain the different system building practices for both ESS and BMS and outline what types of PCB interconnect are typically being used by component engineers. At the end of this webinar, we will outline some key connector families which help component engineers succeed.
During the webinar we will not talk about connectors in detail (this is not a product training!), however the actual webinar package will include links to further product detail.
What you'll learn:
• Realize insight what drives Electrification and how it relates to Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
• Discover the different ESS systems and requirements.
• Learn about the importance of Battery Management System for Electrification.
• Get to know the key building practices for ESS and BMS.
• Understand what key PCB interconnect products make component engineers succeed.
